Founder, Lead Carpenter

Allen Mizell

A native to Homerville Georgia, Allen grew up with a work-hard mentality that helped him achieve a beautiful home life for his family. Marrying his high school sweetheart, Cheryl, he helped raise their 3 children, working throughout as a contractor to support his family. It is in this near three decade stint contracting that Allen mastered carpentry. With his abundance of experience in both carpentry and business management, he was the obvious business partner for his son and Mizell Honey. Since 2021, when Mizell Honey was founded by the father son duo, Allen has been the lead carpenter in the shop, building all equipment by hand. While Allen never imagined ramping up his work level at this phase of his life, he loves working in an industry he is passionate about, with his family.

Outside of Mizell Honey, Allen is fervently involved in his family church. He serves as a Deacon and is devoted to creating a safe space for all his community members to enjoy. Through church, Allen and the congregation provide education, school supplies and clothing to children, Manna drops, and disability service. It has truly become a place of warship and service to their community.

You can often find Allen using his construction background to help maintain the church, and may even catch him mowing the yard in preparation for service. If you ever happen to be driving by, give Allen a wave!
